SWIVEL DECK CANNON (Oneida)

This is a 1/50 scale wood and brass model of a twelve-pounder swivel deck cannon. The kit is by Oneida of China, and the instructions are only in Chinese. Fortunately there were photos. The barrel is about 80 mm in length, so you can see the overall finished product is very small. Tying the knots was the toughest part of the build. When taking the model to a show I slipped and fell on it and wrecked the fittings. It took some work to repair, but the fix is mostly invisible. It cost $20 postage included from China.
