T-90A RUSSIAN TANK (Modelcollect)

This is a Modelcollect 1:72 scale kit of a Russian Army T-90A main battle tank. I painted and marked it to show how it appeared in November 2012 with the 27th Sevastapolskaya  Guards Motor Rifle Brigade of the Moscow region.

The pattern was created with silly putty applied over the tan paint, then green paint was sprayed on. The putty was removed within two minutes, then the surface was coated with watery black to fill lines and accentuate bolts and ridges. The fuel tank brackets on the rear were drilled out (in sixteen places). It won a second place prize at the CAPCON model competition in 2015.
